REGISTRATION POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
TUITION
Tuition for Photography & Digital Media courses is $285. All other courses are $260. Workshops have individual fees, please call us at (631) 267-ARTS (2787) for pricing.
REGISTRATION DEADLINES
As a courtesy to our instructors and staff, please try to register as early as possible for classes. We have supplied suggested registration deadlines on the schedule, please click here for the schedule.
MULTIPLE-REGISTRATION DISCOUNT
If you are registering for 2 or more courses in the same term (i.e. “Intro to Oil Painting” in Winter Term A and “The Ancient Art of Cave Painting” in Winter Term A) you are eligible for a 10% discount. If you are registering for 3 courses in the same term you are eligible for a 20% discount. If you are registering for 4 or more in the same term you are eligible for a 25% discount. Please note that you may only receive one discount per term, regardless of how many courses you register for. Student is responsible for claiming the discount at the time of registration. Please fill out a separate registration form for each course/seminar.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations up to 7 days prior to the first class will receive a 100% refund, less the $55 non-refundable Registration Fee. After that deadline, no refunds will be granted.
Once a student has registered, if we do not receive a cancellation by the refund deadline the entire tuition amount is due and non-refundable. We cannot prorate classes or transfer unused class time to another term.
All requests for refunds must be submitted in writing and faxed to (631) 267-3428 or emailed to info@appliedartsschool.com. Sorry, we cannot accept cancellations by phone or mail.
Students will receive a written confirmation from us by fax or email within 12 hours of their cancellation (Monday-Thursday.). If you do not receive confirmation within this timeframe, please contact us immediately.
In the event that Applied Arts cancels a course due to under-enrollment, all students will be notified immediately. If we are unable to place you in an alternate course, all payments will be refunded in full.
CLASS ABSENCES
Students who miss a class may attend a make-up class that meets later in the week. In order to attend a make-up, student must obtain permission from both instructors. Please contact your instructor to arrange this. Applied Arts is not responsible for providing refunds for classes or programs missed as a result of student illness, emergencies or events beyond the control of Applied Arts.
CLASS AUDITING
Auditing of classes is not permitted under any circumstances.
DATE CHANGES
During the term, a class meeting may need to be rescheduled. A make-up class will be scheduled within the term or added to the end of the course.
